The World Meteorological Organization (WMO) has released its Statement on the State of the Climate in 2019 report, highlighting challenges that the world is facing.

Working with national meteorological and hydrological services, industry experts, scientific institutions and UN agencies, the report highlights how rising temperatures and sea levels, and melting sea ice, is impacting the world. The report was launched at a press conference given by Antonio Guterres, secretary-general of the UN, and Petteri Taalas, secretary-general of the WMO, at the UN’s headquarters on March 10.
